Tement Winery Berghausener Ortswein- Sauvignon Blanc
Aromatic companion for summer cuisine
- Very complex
- Red Currant notes
- Wonderfully acidic
Another local wine, but this time from the Tement family's hometown. The grapes arrive from the two Berghausener vineyards, Wielitsch and Zieregg, then they are gently pressed, fermented spontaneously and mature in large wooden barrels and neutral stainless steel tanks.
The long aging period is very important for the wholesomeness and complexity of the wine. While some wineries are already drinking their 2014 wines, Tement wine matures until late summer in the basement.
Durability and complexity are two of the great hallmarks of Tement's. In the glass, the wine exudes fruity, deep aromas of ripe black currants and limes, blackberries and a hint of hazelnut.
On the palate the Berghausener is juicy and smooth. A little black pepper adds to the great flavor and beautifully integrated acidity. One thinks inevitably of harmony and is looks forward to the next sip. A fruity companion to the flavorful summer cuisine.
