The Weinviertel salami is made only from Weinviertler products. Meat from the "Weinviertel pig" is the basis of this delicate sausage. The animals come directly from the Weinviertel and are exclusively yard-fed (cereals and corn) by the respective farmers. Seasoned only with a shot of Grüner Veltliner wine, salt and pepper.
The sausage matures after around six weeks and loses approximately 40% of its weight. The maturation process is the most important element of making salami, besides the quality of the meat.
Once at home, you can leave the salami in its wooden box at room temperature or put it in the refrigerator for several weeks to ripen to the desired hardness. The salami shows its most delicious side when served a little chilled and cut wafer-thin.
The salami comes in a beautiful gift box made of wood. Includes cutting board and knife.
