Austrian Großwalsertaler Mountain Cheeses

The agriculture on the steep mountain slopes is maintained by Walser farmers. The highest alpine farms are over 1,800 meters above sea level. Far from industrialized farming, this traditional, handcrafted production is the pride of the Walser farmers. The raw milk reminds one of the meadows studded with dandelions, summer grasses, golden oats, red clover and mountain meadows.
