The Karlo Butcher shop is a traditional, medium-sized enterprise in which the goods are prepared with love and by hand. The family business has been running since 1948 and is now run by the third generation of family members. In 2008, a branch was opened in Illmitz and now comprises of about 16 employees who produce up to 100 different meat products per day. The meat is obtained mainly from domestic abattoirs. The meat processed by this Butcher shop comes from cattle in the Neusiedler Lake National Park.
